  • Library Media Resource (1 credit)
    Participation in this program will prepare the student who plans to pursue a career in librarianship by providing a background of library functions.  It will also serve as training to prepare the student to work as a library aide in a public library or as a student worker in a college or university library.  A variety of instructional methods will be used with emphasis on individual instruction.  Films, filmstrips, handouts, and field trips will be used to supplement more traditional teaching material.  The course will depend largely upon the laboratory work with the library collection serving as the laboratory setting.

    Prerequisite:  Application submitted to Librarians

  • ACT Prep (1 credit)
    Acquaints students with test taking strategies and gives them skills in the academic areas measured by the ACT:  English, Mathematics, Science, and Reading.  Students must take the ACT during the year that they are enrolled in the class.
